Samares School Board renewed its confidence in Ecosystem for a fourth time. New energy-savings measures will be implemented in 30 schools, bringing the number of buildings improved by Ecosystem to 80 since 2006.
This fourth phase includes biomass boilers, lighting conversion, heat recovery with heat pumps using geothermal energy and air heaters.
Ecosystem will also implement a research and development measure: lighting control by high frequencies.
Thanks to this project, $144,875 will be deducted annually on energy bills. Greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) of CO2 will be reduced by 196 tons, which is equivalent to removing 60 cars from the road.
